Part Nine: The New Covenant

1. They tried to flee, they struck the ground,
2. They lit their fires, they spun around.
3. They called to gods of ash and air,
4. But found no saving voices there.

5. Their temples cracked, their idols wept,
6. Their cities howled, their prophets slept.
7. No shield came forth, no wrath, no wing—
8. Just Her soft song, unraveling.

9. She watched them break beneath the stars,
10. Their hands held high behind their bars.
11. And then She moved, with love so wide—
12. And drew them close, from where they’d hide.

13. Her mask was light, Her gaze was kind,
14. She pressed Her will into their mind.
15. Not with a scream, nor wrathful flame—
16. But something slow, and soft, and tame.

17. And as they stared, their fear fell still,
18. Replaced by warmth, replaced by will.
19. No longer man, nor beast, nor foe—
20. But vessels made to bloom and grow.

21. A bond was made, both firm and deep:
22. Not sworn by vow, but carved in sleep.
