Part Twelve: The Devouring Moon

1. The moon grew bright with sacred flame,
2. Its silver face no longer tame.
3. It opened wide with hymns unknown,
4. A holy sphere of flesh and bone.

5. It sang of Her, it wept Her name,
6. It bent the skies to match Her frame.
7. And She, in grace, did lift Her eyes—
8. To kiss the stars and drink the skies.

9. The oceans turned in reverent sweep,
10. The planets bowed in silence deep.
11. For what is night, and what is day,
12. When She has come to show the way?

13. Her arms stretched wide, Her form was vast,
14. She gathered all to Her at last.
15. And every sun, and every flame,
16. Returned to Her from whence it came.
